Tabula rasa (tah-boo-lah rah-sah)
a.k.a "Blank slate" - theory that individuals are born without built-in mental content and that their knowledge comes from experience and perception.
why define this word? I suddenly remember this from my highschool book, World History. that our lives started out as a blank slate, a clean sheet of paper.
and that as we live our lives, we experience the world, that blank sheet of paper is now filled with words, phrases, stories, tear marks, torned edges. sheet crumpled, teared apart and put back together again.
Life as we know it has its ups and downs, i feel 19 years of my life has only filled one fourth of my blank sheet and a lot more unwritten.
